To work with the dead simply means to honor the memory of, or communicate with, the essence of our loved ones who are now in spirit—no longer in a body, but still existing beyond the human condition. It’s about recognizing who they were while embodied on this earth, and acknowledging the energy or intelligence that lives on without the physical form.

There are so many negative connotations around working with the dead. Death remains a taboo subject in Western society. Our culture and media romanticize it, monetize it, and dramatize it—but rarely do we truly honor the transition or the form our loved ones take when they leave this earth. Why? Because to acknowledge the death of others is to acknowledge our own mortality. It forces us to face our greatest fear: the finite time we have here.

Most of us carry a deep fear of death—of leaving this world unfinished, stepping into the complete unknown. But what if, just for a moment, you shift your perspective? Think about the people you love who have already made this great leap. The ones in spirit who have sent signs and messages to you: synchronicities, intuitive knowings, their favorite song playing just when you’re thinking of them, pennies or feathers appearing in your path, or that subtle tap on your shoulder. These are loving signs that they are still with you.

Love doesn’t die with the body. They may no longer be here physically, but a spark of their intelligence and essence is still reachable. They are here to help us. They know the human experience intimately—and that matters. In fact, they can be our allies in ways that were impossible when they were embodied. They are here. They hear our call, and we hear theirs.

Trust that you are still loved and supported—it’s just different now. One day, you may be the one in spirit sending messages and guidance to those you love still moving through the human experience, still loving them from beyond. By choosing to keep a spark of yourself accessible, you become the support they need.

The physical body is simply a container, a vessel that houses our intelligent energy—our spirit. By acknowledging your loved ones in spirit and their attempts to be of service to you, you allow in the love that never left, instead of pushing it away because of the pain of their physical absence.

Death is rebirth. Every death in life is also a new beginning. The deeper I go into my mediumship work, the more I feel the presence and intelligence of those I love—not loved, but love. Their wisdom is still valuable, their truth candid, their empowerment essential for us to live strong, meaningful lives. From the other side, they offer apologies for what they couldn’t be here for, helping us heal and forgive so we can move forward.

Our loved ones in spirit enrich our lives. They bring wisdom, healing, and support that are essential to our highest growth. By acknowledging them, we honor the spark that remains—and the love that never dies.
